Pink ATG

Got this yesterday from a UK Website. Took me and my darling husband nearly an hour to even open it up to insert the refill, whats that all aboubt!! Eventually got it up and running thanks to YOUTUBE videos, the instructions that came with it are really bad. Anyway hopefully it will work, will let you know. For anyone else struggling here's the video

Today was the first day in ages that I actually got to make something crafty. I painted an old canvas I had, using acrylic paints, gesso, glitter and Tatterd Angels mist. Really enjoyed that part. Then added some flowers, birdcage from ebay, crystals, and an affirmation CREATE. I would love to be able to make something crafty everyday but alas real everyday life always gets in the way.

Will post a picture tomorrow.

Loving the latest "I'm a Celebrity Get me Out of here" me and Alanna are glued to it every night. My faves are Stacy, Dom and Sean. Cant understand why Gillian is there at all, and Kayla seems a waste of space!

Trip to Dublin

So guess were I was today?

Me and Alanna (the daughter) and Bernadette (the Aunt) went to FOREVER 21 in Dublin today. Man it was wedged, especially the ground floor, but for some reason as you went up it got a little quieter! 3 floors of fashion, well priced too. Alanna got a really cool navy jacket for €28, a few sweatshirts and leggings. Me I got nothing there, But really I was more interested in making sure Alanna was happy and got something she liked. I only like shopping:

A. when I am on my own
B. No crowds
C. Weekdays only.

None of these happened today!!

We also checked out the biggest NEW LOOK in the world. Did't look that big!!  Got 2 nice cardigans for me there so not too bad.

Had a nice lunch in the Bagel Factory, then back to my aunt's for a lovely cup of tea, before scooting back down the nmotorway and getting home to watch the XFACTOR.

A nice day all around.

week 3

I'm on week 3 of my running plan and its going well so far. At this stage I've learned to do the run first thing in the morning, before work (If I left it till after work and dinner I was just too tired to go) I've learned not to eat before the run(too sick if I do) I've learned not to drink any wine the night before a run (self explanatory that one) and finally I've learned to enjoy it.

Mind you I haven't lost any weight yet!

3 little words

Read a really cool magazine article lately that stuck in my mind. I'm struggling with my clothes choices at the moment. I have work clothes and casual/weekend clothes and it's the work clothes that cause me the most pain. I know I should pick my outfit the night before, but hey thats a bit too organised! What normally happens is I spend 15 mins (all the time I can allow to get dressed as I tend to get out of the bed at the very last minute!!) and try on millions of things and none of them fit, or look right, and I go out and buy more, and I STILL HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR!!

Anyway this article said you should choose 3 words to describe your style, and only buy these kinda clothes. Simple.

So I thought long and hard about this, looked in loads of mags to get ideas, and this is what I want to be:

Classical/Modern
Funky/Quirky
Colourful

We'll see what happens tomorrow.

my every day life

This is my blog to record and tell my stories, what's on my mind, things going on in my every day life.

So right now, in a bid to lose weight I have decided to become a runner!! I've been inspired by this woman Cathy Zielske and her weight loss stories (really admire her as a crafter also) and I bought this book "running made easy" to help me on my way.

My family all think this is a great laugh, having to buy a book to tell you how to run, but it seems to be working for me so far. Now there is a lot of testimonials from grateful people in the book and if you took all these out it would be a very thin book hahaha! but it also has some good advice in there as well. I am on Day 5, which means I warm up for 5 mins, run for 1 min, walk for 3 min and do this 4 times, then cool down walk for another 5 min. Total workout time 26 minutes.

So far so good. I do find it easier to get the run out of the way in the morning, and I have learned not to run after eating a meal (major cramps) but I can honestly say I am enjoying it and I am sticking with it so far. Early days yet.
